[In the privacy of her room, on a video call with Yang, Blake doesn't feel the need to hide much of anything. She's still not taking her bow off, but there's enough movement under it to make her feelings kind of obvious. Case in point, the bow is now pulled back, as her ears go low against her head.]
... I understand what you're saying. If you'd rather not be there, I can make up an excuse for you.
[She's trying to make it very clear that she does understand and respect Yang's stance on it, but... She has to go, herself. She has to know. Yang thrives on not knowing what the future may bring, and she said as much back at Mountain Glenn, but Blake? Blake knows better than anyone what kind of problems- injuries or worse- can come from not knowing. She's seen too many White Fang missions gone wrong to not understand. And she wants to do anything she can to protect her team from that.]
[Yang gives a knowing little, half smile. Blake is clearly keeping Yang's feelings on the matter in mind, and she appreciates that. She can also understand why Blake feels differently on the matter, and she can respect that, too. In the end, they are partners though, and that's a commitment that Yang takes seriously.]
No, it's okay. I may not be overly fond of the idea, but I'm willing to be there with you to hear things out.
[Yang takes a deep breath, and lets it out before continuing. When she speaks, she still sounds serious, like before, but now there's a slight hint of something akin to pleading.]
Promise me that, no matter what we hear, we won't take it as a final answer. Just because Penny or Pyrrha say it will happen, doesn't it mean it has to. We can always change things. Okay?
[Yang smiles, hearing Blake agree was all that she needed to feel better about this whole thing. She looks visibly more relieved, nodding her head in response.]
[Well, her last partner would have never done something like this with her, but... That's not something she particularly wants to talk about, or Yang will ever want to hear. Besides, it's not like Adam will ever be relevant to Yang, anyway.]

Yeah.
[After a slight pause, Yang adds:]
Thanks, Blake.

[this is going to suck, but she'll be a lot more okay with it with her partner there.
Until she updates, anyway.]no subject

Hey, what are partners for, right?

Of course. You're right.
